Marketing
University Communications' marketing unit develops and implements research-based strategies for communications and marketing at UC Davis. Its functions include integrated marketing planning, message development, branding, development communications and market research. Marketing also provides consultation services to campus constituents and comprehensive support for major campus initiatives.
Services
University marketing
- Plan, coordinate and implement integrated marketing program for the university
- Establish and manage brand messaging and market research
- Plan advertising and promotional publications
Campus consultation
- Consult with campus constituencies on communications and marketing strategies
- Provide comprehensive communication, marketing and research consulting services for major campus initiatives
Development marketing
- Create and execute communications and marketing plans in support of UC Davis fundraising initiatives
Design
- Develop and interpret campus graphic standards and provide design guidance and graphic identity design services for select campus units
- Design publications for University Communications, other University Relations units, and do special projects for the Offices of the Chancellor and Provost and select departments
Web development
- Share responsibility with the Web content editor in Publications for the design and content of the campus Web home pages
- Develop and interpret campus Web graphic, editorial and accessibility standards and provide instruction and guidance to campus Web developers
- Create and distribute Web templates, provide Web development consultation to campus units and create and maintain Web sites for University Relations units and high-level campus initiatives
